Been blinded by sequins lately? Then you may have spotted Jana Yasmeen Hicks, an Atlanta fashionista who has a love for all things glittery. Jana, in one fashion-forward ensemble after another, is always at the city’s hottest parties and events. Plus, as a producer at Metromix Atlanta (the web site that covers everything in arts, entertainment, restaurants, bars and clubs), Jana gets to call that work. In addition to snapping pictures for Metromix herself, she also manages the site’s incredibly popular photo galleries. She’s also building her search engine optimization skills and is always expanding her marketing expertise.
Of course, you may also recognize her from Facebook or Twitter—Jana’s a social media expert who uses the networking sites for both work and fun. In fact, connecting to people is her calling and she’s always helping her friends out with advice. Recently, named one of “Who’s Who in Black Atlanta 20 Female Powerhouses of 2010,” is friends with some city’s most elite figures. Even with all her A-list buddies, her biggest inspiration is her son Joshua, 7, who makes her want to reach higher than ever. The next time you see her, she may just be wearing a tiara that marks her as queen of the multimedia universe.

Entertainment Consultant and PR Specialist, Satchel Jester knows the importance of influence and initiative. A native of Atlanta, Satchel has experienced the city at its most humble and is executing during its flourishing rise. With a portfolio boasting groundbreaking campaigns for Starbucks, NIKE and a host of fashion and entertainment brands, he has been on the pulse of entertainment evolution in the “Hollywood of the South.”
Most recently, Satchel was selected as one of Metromix.com’s “2009 People to Watch”, as well as a featured “Tastemaker” according to 944.com.
