Battle of the Bands - Houston Edition

We searched high and low for Houston’s best musical talent. And now they will battle it out in a live concert showcase for the crown. The grand prize, an awesome local prize package + if Team Houston wins Mission 2 of the Fiesta Movement, the show of a lifetime on stage at Bonnaroo this summer!

Lombriz- (noun) Vulgar or common Spanish term for worm.

Gusano- (noun) Proper Spanish term for worm. Also used as a slur against Cubans who fled the island after the communist revolution in 1959.

Lombries- (noun) Colloquial term given to hosts infected with the parasitic, mind-controlling worms in the outbreak of 2011. The term is specific to the Miami region, blending “Lombriz” with the term “Zombies,” even though hosts are not zombies nor undead.

Local YouTube celebrities are holding a free concert May 3rd at Chruch in Allston. Team John Aaron is gonna scour our collective people and unearth a brilliant muralist to depict 10 spots you gotta check out in Chicago. Keep your eyes open for someone drawing on the side of the building.  It may just be our doing.
Once the mural is finished we are gonna put on a crazy great party to cap off our first mission!

This is it. Technically it’s Spring so we’re starting off the season with a shower! As you might have known, Team John & Aaron have completed their mural at 1438 N. Milwaukee and are throwing an “unveiling party” to celebrate. We have teamed up with the folks at The Silver Room to throw the biggest party we’ve ever done…
