TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show: Parking Space Takeover Featuring the Ford Fiesta

Downtown Orlando is getting a brand new public park… for two hours. On May 20, 2010, 7-9pm, TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show is taking over one parking space adjacent to City Arts Factory in downtown Orlando as part of “Third Thursdays,” and turning it into a parking-space-size park with astro turf, lawn chairs and tables. The event is free and the public is welcome to have a seat, chat and take pictures and hav a mini downtown respite in the tiny park.

“TAG UR IT”

You wanna know so I’ll tell you. “Tag UR IT” is an explosion of creativity splattered on a wall in the ancient art form of Graffiti. It is only performed by highly trained Samurai artist called Taggers. We have been granted the pleasure of having our 10 top spots in chicago splattered with precision on a mighty wall in our great hometown. So stay tuned for GREATNESS. 

Gulf Coast BBQ

We will be streaming a live grilling show, wit ha celebrity chef.  During which, we will be giving away an iPad and gift cards to benefit the Audubon Society and Gulf Coast oil cleanup.

Lombriz- (noun) Vulgar or common Spanish term for worm.

Gusano- (noun) Proper Spanish term for worm. Also used as a slur against Cubans who fled the island after the communist revolution in 1959.

Lombries- (noun) Colloquial term given to hosts infected with the parasitic, mind-controlling worms in the outbreak of 2011. The term is specific to the Miami region, blending “Lombriz” with the term “Zombies,” even though hosts are not zombies nor undead.

Free Rock Concert: “Aloud” & “Mild Revolution”

Local YouTube celebrities are holding a free concert May 3rd at Chruch in Allston. Monday, May 3rd at 7:30pm - local groups “Aloud”, and “Mild Revolution” will be playing a 3-hour show - free of charge… with an open bar too! Internet big-shots Jory Caron and Jonathan Paula have teamed up with the Ford Fiesta Movement to help promote these local bands, and Ford’s newest car, the 2011 Fiesta. Mission #1 - Chicago Top 10 Mural

Team John Aaron is gonna scour our collective people and unearth a brilliant muralist to depict 10 spots you gotta check out in Chicago. Keep your eyes open for someone drawing on the side of the building.  It may just be our doing.
Once the mural is finished we are gonna put on a crazy great party to cap off our first mission!
