I need to come up with a list of our 10 favorite places in NYC for project #1, which are going to be compiled and made into a wall mural (or something like that!). My favorite places in NYC are kind of weird. Do I really want Olive Garden painted on a mural? Actually, yes, I think I do.  I'm curious what other people would put on their top 10 list. anyone?

Shirley Beans!

How about hiking the old High Line?  The south end’s gotten a little spruced up in the past couple years, but I think you can still sneak onto the start of the trail - which is still just sort of an elevated wilderness in the middle of NYC - from a parking lot in midtown.

My faves are all those little nooks of the city that aren’t on yelp or citysearch and you can only find if you shake a few trees and turn over a few stones :)

Cheers!

Shirley Braha

Shirley Beans - that’s my name, don’t wear it out! I will tell you a little bit about myself so you can see if we have a potential love connection. I’m a 27 year old native Brooklynite currently living in downtown Manhattan. Im a tv producer, I blog about parties, and I sometimes DJ 90s dance parties (“All That” with BFF Peggy). I used to think driving was scary but I’ve reinvented myself.  You never know with me. One day I’m all like “I love riding my hybrid bike that my parents got me in 1997” and the next day I’m all “check out my free ford fiesta yo! only 20 in the USA! Watch me parallel park! Wait, let me try again! OK!”
