Anyone whose ever met Zack or I know supporting local, independent businesses is at the root of our business philosophy. So when Ford Motor Company asked us to design a giant mural highlighting 10 local hotspots in San Diego, we jumped on the opportunity. It was tough narrowing it down to just 10 as there's a plethora of great people doing great things in San Diego. But here it is, our list of 10 hotspots that will be featured on our mural and topped off with a huge party to celebrate community.  Stop by these locations, spend some money there, show 'em some love and tell 'em who sent ya!

It's located on the corner of 30th Street and Redwood in the South Park / North Park neighborhood. Our mural was designed by the awesome Josh Boston. He's not only the tallest guy living in SD but one heck of a designer. Check out Josh's portfolio.

Did someone say PARTY?  Yup, we're spending more of Ford's money and throwing a huge party to celebrate community + creativity in San Diego. Mark the date: Tuesday, April 13 at Bar Basic from 7-10PM. Several of the businesses featured in our mural will be opening pop-up stores and let's just say, it's going to rule. Our friends at M Theory Records will be creating a mini record store and listening stations. Our pals at Subtext will be curating an amazing art show along with selling several design books. Local non-profit Sezio will be screening neighborhood posters and t-shirts. Holiday Matinee will be on-hand providing creative inspiration and our friends at Igloo will be showcasing super cool soft goods and accessories.
